- text: Ps 16
- We must take our refuge in God, and not in our own talents and abilities, if we would have true security.
- God must be the object of our chief desire if we would find true joy. Let us echo the psalmist's sentiment, "I have no good apart from thee."
- We seek God corporately, sharing what we have learned of him with each other.
- Why do we shrink from fellowship? Is it an attempt to hide our insincerity and flaws? This is the reason we need fellowship; without it we will never grow spiritually—it is an indispensable means of grace.
- There is no such thing as a lone Christian. Do we have struggles? Share them with your brethren.
- God lies at the bottom of all true contentment. Discontentment is a sin which is its own punishment.
- God must be our heritage and our portion. Let us seek all that we desire from, and through, Him.
- The Sabbath is meant to be a foretaste of heaven.
