"How Jesus Kept the Sabbath"

• One of the chief sources of contention between Jesus and the Pharisees was over the proper way to observe the Sabbath.
• Jesus' claim to be Lord of the Sabbath was a staggering declaration.
• Sermons preached on the Sabbath are now rarely heard from pulpits today.
• Keeping the Sabbath is a great part of authentic Christian piety.
• [In my opinion the argument over the "keeping of days" is not as cut and dry as Pastor Rayburn presents it.]
• The Sabbath is not only part of the Ten Commandments, but is also a creation ordinance.
• The Sabbath is a day of rest; a holiday devoted to God and His worship. It is a day to enjoy. The Sabbath day is a gift of God.
• So far from being a violation of the Sabbath, nothing is more appropriate to the Sabbath than acts of mercy and benevolence.
• Parents should make sure that Sunday is the best day of the week.
