“Christians at Worship”

Sermon, Dr. Rayburn
  • text: Ps 27
  • Our entire life is to be thought of as worship. This does not preclude the distinctive of corporate worship on the Lord’s day.
    • This Psalm represents a marvelous blending of both—low worship and high worship.
    • The Christian life is both a private and a corporate life.
  • The corruption of worship is most often an indicator of creeping unbelief in the church.
  • Sunday worship shapes you and your Christian walk more than most people imagine. We are as we worship.
    • It forms and strengthens one’s world view.
    • It is one of the great engines of Christian discipleship.
  • The Bible puts an emphasis on public worship.
  • Man is a creature of worship.
  • Every Lord’s Day, we return to our truest selves.
  • The most fundamental question about a man is: what does he worship?
  • The rituals of the home indelibly shape the mind and life of our children.
  • Worship is not just a duty, it is the vital center of your life.
