Sermon, Dr. Rayburn: Law as an Instrument of Grace

• in v. 9, Paul seems to be speaking of his prior ignorance of the true demands of the Law.
• Pride is man's bottom sin
• One does not stride confidently into the City of God; one is carried in by Another.
• Man is confident that his situation is as he imagines it to be.
• Jesus Christ can't be the Solution, until the Law shows us the problem.
