I thought today that a sanctified thought-life is very analogous to training a dog to heel. Just as the dog must be taught to have a fixed and steady awareness of the master's inclinations by a constant observance, so we must train ourselves to have the eye of our mind steadily fixed on our Master so as to follow in His step.
