- text: Mt 28.16-20
- The Greek grammar makes it clear that we make disciples by baptizing and teaching.
- It is the Spirit who does this work in us, the water is only a sign.
- We are called not to evoke "decisions," but to make disciples. Decisions are easy to come by, but discipling is hard work. Jesus said to make disciples, not converts.
- A disciple, by definition, follows the instructions of his teacher.
- It takes a disciple to make a disciple.
